An Introduction
My name is Chris Roca, the creator of Automotive Jpeg. I began my career as an avid photographer in news and celebrity photography, laying my foundation for the fundamentals like framing shots, shutter speed, lighting and more. Eventually I took on jobs for various local speed shops capturing fast cars and trucks around the country, enhancing my skills and allowing me to find my own way. When I was young, sports never appealed to me, while kids my age were watching baseball games, I was reading Hot Rod and Super Street Magazine. It just made more sense. I had worked on cars before I even had my license and learned to drive on my uncles old 5 speed Jeep. Picking up my first car was my coveted 1993 Del Sol, that taught me responsibility and admiration for something I could call my own. With these two passions, it was inevitable they would combine into a life long journey of becoming an automotive photographer. This website is a platform to showcase my dedication to the car guys and girls in all of us. For the people that still enjoy reading articles without the bullshit of social media, we’re here for you.
What to Expect
The plan is to grow Automotive Jpeg into a thriving repository of anything car related. As I build my team, the content will grow exponentially. In addition to car features, we plan to host automotive how-to’s, large event coverage, and interviews. The formula will evolve as things progress to see what works and ultimately what you the readers, want to see. Constructive feedback is ALWAYS welcomed. The ideas buzzing around are endless and we’re excited to put them into action. The sky is the limit.
